A key element of the Association’s strategy is to make the Groves a greener place for all residents, strengthening connections to local green corridors and encouraging inclusive learning and community-led greening activities. We work in partnership with the City of York Council, local councillors and other greening organisations to deliver shared environmental benefits for the community. Over the past few years, we have focused our efforts on social housing areas where improvements to communal spaces make a visible and positive difference for residents.  We welcome involvement at any level—whether it’s planting and nurturing seeds, helping with more physical tasks, or simply caring for a single tree or planter.
