Smarter Groves

To help keep the streets of the Groves clean and free from litter, we hold a regular community clean-up on the first Saturday of every month.  We meet at Helmsley House on Penley’s Grove Street  at 10:00 am, where volunteers can take part in either a litter pick or gutter tidying.  This effort supports the council’s twice-yearly street clean and helps keep the area looking much smarter all year round.  Residents can also get involved by tidying around their own homes or carrying out their own litter picks. Free litter pickers and bags are available from York Council.

For more information and to get involved please contact us.   Everyone is welcome—come along and help make a difference in your neighbourhood!
